Dr. Ömür Acet received BSc in 2013 in Chemistry, MSc and Doctorate degree in Biochemistry under the mentorship of Prof M. Odabaşı from Aksaray University in 2015 and 2020, respectiveley. His research interests are the preparation and surface modification of biopolymeric and synthetic materials and their applications, molecularly imprinted polymers, biosensors, nanostructures and personalized cancer treatments. He conducted some research within the scope of Erasmus mobility at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2015 and at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid/Spain in 2017. He has taken part in many TÜBİTAK-supported national and international projects, and is also a member of COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). In 2022, Dr. Acet was a visiting researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Minsk/Belarus. In 2023, he was awarded a scholarship for 12 months within the scope of 2219-International Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program at Universitäts Medizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz in Germany. Currently, he is working on his project titled “Synthesis and Application of Protein-Based Nanostructures for Personalized Cancer Treatments” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Roland Hans Stauber. He has been involved in teaching mobility in many countries within the scope of Erasmus Staff Mobility. Dr. Acet works as an associate professor at Tarsus University, Department of Pharmacy Services.
